Jim Doherty

Jim joined the Doherty Group in 1994. In 1998, after completing several roles in the business, Jim was responsible for the transfer of all production from England to Hungary and the ultimate closure of the UK plant. After running another company in the group for six years Jim then moved with his family to Hungary in January 2007. He took over as Managing Director of Doherty Hungary Kft with the objective to build a new team, systems, customer base, supply base, technology base and return the company to profi t.
Jim graduated from Sheffi eld Hallam University with a BSc in European Business and from the University of Bordeaux with a Diplome in European Business Systems in 1992. After University Jim joined the graduate training programme at ICL (International Computers Ltd) in London where he stayed for two years before joining the Doherty Group based in the Midlands.
Jim has completed several training courses whilst at Doherty's including; Supervisory Management; FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma, 5S, ISOTS16949 and Hungarian language.
Mihály Varga

Mihály joined Doherty Hungary Kft. in mid 2007. His role was to set up the in-house fi nance and accounting activities and to ensure the company maintains profi t and fi nance streams to support continuous growth. He leads a team to continuously improve the utilisation of the ERP system and the accuracy and speed with which fi nancial data is presented to the managers and the Board. He implemented a monthly management accounts pack with KPI's to support this objective. As a member of the Board he also takes part in strategic decision making.
Mihály graduated as an economist from the College for Finance and Acounting Budapest in 1988. As a consultant he has experience of designing and implementing IT systems in different projects, like fi nance and accounting, stock management and MIS. Before joining Doherty Hungary he worked in different managing positions, including Managing Director or CEO, at different types of mid-sized companies.
István Pataki

Istvan started at Doherty Hungary in January 2008 in the position of Commercial Manager. He is the principal contact for the customers and main suppliers of Doherty Hungary. He closely manages the current customer's interests from the enquiry stage through to purchase order confi rmation and delivery. During this process he leads the APQP team. Additional responsibilities include customer satisfaction in accordance with Quality, Cost and Delivery targets and building new contacts and opportunities for future growth. He has completed training in ISO16949, APQP and 5S.
Istvan graduated from the University of Szeged with a degree in Enterprise Management. Since graduating Istvan has worked as a regional sales manager in the food industry and as a sales representative for agricultural products.
Edina Bucsai

Edina joined Doherty Hungary as a Commercial Assistant in 2007. She is now responsible for all marketing and managing new business through to the sampling stage when it will be taken over by the Commercial Manager. Edina is also responsible for the company's contact management database, digital newsletter, organizing trade shows and maintaining the corporate identity. She is the external liaison with industry related trade groups. She is also responsible for looking after the interests of the company's German customers and suppliers, including schedule management, transportation and order confi rmation. As a fl uent German speaker she communicates with German customers and suppliers on a daily basis.
Edina graduated in English and German at Szeged University 2001. Before joining Doherty Hungary she used to work as a helpdesk agent in Budapest and as a primary school teacher in Orosháza.
Ágnes Nagy

Ágnes joined Doherty Hungary in 2010. Her responsibility is to plan and implement human resource activities to maximize their potential within the business. Her role involves making the training plans, reviews, employee contracts, analyzing and refreshing job descriptions, recruitment, making interviews and internal communication with workers.
Ágnes graduated as a human resource manager at the University of Szeged in 2006. After four years she gained experience at two big fi rms. She was a recruiting specialist in a motor industry fi rm and a wage accounting administrator in a commercial fi rm.
András Pribék

András joined Doherty Hungary in 2004 as a trainee whilst studying Engineering at Budapest Technical University. After graduating he joined Doherty Hungary as a Production Engineer. In 2008 he moved to the quality department as a Quality Manager where he is responsible for the quality management system. He is part of the APQP team and he is the leader of the 8D problem solving team. He has been trained in the ISOTS 16949 quality management system, FMEA, APQP, 8D, SPC and internal auditing.
Andras graduated from Budapest Technical University as a Mechanical Engineer.
Sándor Benyó

Sándor joined Doherty Hungary as a production engineer in the beginning of 2009. He has experience in production technology, profi table production methods and machine tool designing.
Sándor's main responsibility is leading the engineering department including the supervision of the purchase of the tools and manufacturing devices, creating technical documentation, calculating and applying effi cient production processes and continuously improving these processes. He tests the machines and the tooling and maintains contact with the tool suppliers. He is also responsible for the engineering launch of all new products.
Sándor fi nished his degree as Technical Manager at the College of Szolnok. During his studies he learnt production technology, quality assurance, production planning, tool designing, production management, and machine tools. He has previously worked in a quality department.
